The Vilsack family picnic should be noteworthy for Dean supporters. This is event will be attended by 200-500 people, all democrats (or most of them anyway), and many (because it's Iowa) are undecided. Dean supporters can make a big impact on LIKELY caucus goers at this event. The cost for the event is $25, check the mainpage for all the details. We NEED to PACK this event. Sunday, May 18, 2003
Thank you for all who showed up at the Harkin forum in Davenport! Meeting people from four other states outside while cheering for Dean always reminds me why I'm helping this campaign. There was a lot of ideas for the website discussed, lots of Flash, interviews, media, issues and press releases. It's going to be one busy summer! There was thought of a bus trip from Cedar Rapids to Mt. Vernon to Iowa City and then on to Davenport for the forum with Harkin. The bus trip has been nixed, instead there will be carpooling. In Iowa City, meet at TGIFriday's at 11:30, or a little before, and we'll carpool from there. Directions and info for the event in Davenport is on the Iowa web site. Tuesday, May 13, 2003

For all who are interested...Governor Dean will be in Davenport this Sunday, May 18th for one of Senator Harkin's Heartland Forums. All are encouraged to attend to welcome the governor, and show Iowa's support for the Dean campaign. There will also be a bus leaving from the Iowa City/Cedar Rapids area to provide a crowd of noisemakers. If you need more information/directions/whatever, just drop me an email. Friday, May 09, 2003

Just a reminder that the Iowa City Dean house party is this Saturday. Information is on the website. The title for the house party is "We Can Do Better Dean House Party" a take on one of many of Governor Dean's themes of how we as a country can do better. Well, the house party is a reflection of that. The party is for people to learn more about Howard Dean and his stance on the issues. You are welcome to contribute to the campaign at the party but the party is not specifically a fundraiser. So bring a friend and learn more about Dean. Yes! Thanks to all that attended the Iowa City Meetup! Easily 30+ people were present, if we keep growing at this rate no business will be able to host the event. The photos will be submitted to Meetup and to Dean homepage, maybe we'll get our picture up again! A reminder that the "We Can Do Better House Party" is on Saturday. Heads up! The next Meetup is on Wednesday May 7 at 7 p.m. Check with Meeup for your local venue. Meetup has sites in Cedar Rapids, Iowa City, Des Moines, Fairfield, Ottumwa, Davenport, Dubuque, Muscatine and others. This is a critical week for Dean. The first debate was good but we need to spread the word and get the Dean name solidified with voters throughout the summer. The goal for all those signed up to attend - bring a friend!
